Albatross Physical Therapy and Wellness came to SilverBullet with a challenge common to medical TI work: make a modest commercial lease space feel premium, function at clinical standard, and reinforce a strong brand identity — all without wasted square footage. The result is a build-out where every design decision serves both form and function, and where the patient experience starts the moment they walk through the door.
The visual anchor of the entire space is the full-height black slatted acoustic panel wall. Custom-fabricated and installed by SilverBullet, the slat wall runs floor-to-ceiling on the primary treatment room wall and serves as the backdrop for the Albatross branded signage — dimensional white letters mounted against the dark panels with the clinic's orange logo mark mounted above. The contrast between the dark slat wall, bright neutral walls, and warm LVP hardwood flooring establishes the visual hierarchy of the space instantly.
The treatment area accommodates multiple therapy table positions, wall-mounted equipment rails for resistance bands and accessories, and a suspended exercise ball mount — all coordinated into the framing layout so that structural blocking was placed precisely before drywall. The rehab floor integrates a medical-grade treadmill and stationary bike with dedicated electrical circuits and floor-level cable management. Framed anatomical artwork on the charcoal accent wall adds a clinical identity without clinical sterility.
The consultation workspace at the front of the treatment area combines a custom walnut-grain L-shape desk with matching overhead cabinetry and floating display shelves — organized to keep clinical materials within reach while maintaining a clean patient-facing presentation. The orange clock, stacked towels, and branded accessories on the shelves aren't afterthoughts; they were accounted for in the shelf depth and spacing during the design phase.
Medical and physical therapy build-outs have specific requirements that go beyond standard commercial TI work. ADA compliance — door widths, turning radii, accessible hardware — is required and enforced. Dedicated electrical circuits for clinical equipment must be planned before rough-in. Infection control considerations affect material selections. SilverBullet has the experience to coordinate all of this under one contract in Naperville and DuPage County, pulling the correct permits and sequencing the work so the tenant can open on schedule.
The Albatross project proves what's possible when a thoughtful tenant has a clear brand identity and a contractor who knows how to execute it. The space reads exactly like the Albatross brand: modern, orange-accented, performance-focused, and professional without being cold.
The Albatross build-out included: custom full-height black slatted acoustic feature wall; dimensional branded signage installation; LVP hardwood flooring throughout; structural blocking for wall-mounted equipment rails, suspension mounts, and brackets; dedicated electrical circuits for medical-grade treadmill, stationary bike, and clinical equipment; custom walnut-grain L-shape desk with matching overhead cabinetry and floating display shelves; wall-mounted display integration; and ADA compliance throughout. All work permitted through the City of Naperville.
Yes. SilverBullet builds out medical offices, physical therapy clinics, dental practices, and specialty healthcare spaces in Naperville and DuPage County. Medical TI work requires specific ADA compliance, dedicated electrical circuits for clinical equipment, infection-control material selection, and coordination with Illinois health code — all of which SilverBullet manages under one contract with a single point of contact.
A focused commercial tenant improvement of this scope — feature wall, flooring, cabinetry, and MEP coordination — typically takes 4–8 weeks from permit approval. SilverBullet builds a detailed schedule into every commercial contract to minimize the tenant's time offline and get the business open as quickly as possible.
The full-height black acoustic slat wall was custom-fabricated and installed as a single structural element — providing both the branded backdrop and acoustic absorption for a clinical treatment environment.
Dedicated electrical circuits for clinical equipment, ADA-compliant door hardware and clearances, and infection-control flooring selection — all coordinated before rough-in so nothing had to be reworked after drywall.
The space is compact. Every storage solution, equipment position, and workspace was planned at the framing stage — structural blocking placed precisely so wall mounts and shelving land exactly where the tenant needs them.
Albatross had a strong visual brand: dark, orange-accented, performance-focused. SilverBullet translated it into every material selection — slat wall color, LVP tone, cabinetry finish, and lighting placement — so the space looks like the brand, not just an office.
Albatross is one of several commercial tenant improvements SilverBullet has completed in Naperville. We build out offices, medical suites, retail spaces, restaurants, and specialty commercial tenants across DuPage and Will County — all permitted, all under one contract, with a single point of accountability from permit to punch list.
Whether you're a building owner doing landlord improvement work, a tenant building out a new lease space, or a business relocating within the western suburbs — SilverBullet has the commercial construction experience to get you open on time and on budget.
